bullying in schools.
do you think schools do enough to avert bullying? I know of one mother who's child was bulliedand the school didnt succeed in stopping it, so in the end she spoke directly to the childs parent, who managed to stop her child...but then my friend got pulled up by the school for taking matters in her own hands...should a parent be able to do whatever is necessary within resonable limits to stop their child being bullied?
Re: bullying in schools.
Yes of course! As long as the parents can be adults about it then I dont see why not. My old high school was rubbish at dealing with bullies. I think that if the parents are 'rough' (as in ... fighty lol) then they shouldn't get involved though.
Re: bullying in schools.
I think it varies from school to school. George is heavily involved in the Anti Bullying Forum at his school and regularly does 'class chats' with the younger kids. It is much more successful if they take this approach of using an older, respected pupil to make them realise it isnt big or clever to make other kids lives a misery.
If the school doesnt act on reports of bullying and get it stopped then I see nothing wrong with approaching the parents yourself. However a lot of these kids have parents that are no better and this is why they do it!

yeah like ali said i dont think it should be the 1st course of action but if u go to the school and nothing is done then i see nothing wrong with havin a word with the other set of parents as long as its not done in an unacceptable manner which mite b hard as a parent of a bullied child x
