Re: Ear piercing for children?
Morgans ahs had them done twice. only one hole but twice.
The first time she was 4 1/2 and saw some girls getting it done and ased, so I let her.... she screamed the place down casue they woman cocked up the second earing and it only went half way through. So we took them out and left it.
When she was 5 1/2 she said she was big enough to have it done and could she have it done again. After months of asking I let her have it done again and she didn't even flinch. SHe takes really good care of her ears and likes the way they "glitter like fairies on her ears"

Re: Ear piercing for children?
I would never have it done when they are babie or toddlers. I'd wait until they were old enough to at least make their own decision in the matter.
If my child decided she did want her ears pierced, I don't think I'd see much of a problem with it, as its what they want
I think I had mine done when I was about five. Can't even remember if I wanted them done or not, or whether it was my mother who wanted me to have them done. Haha

Re: Ear piercing for children?
I think when they ask to have them done then its fine. If its something they want to do to their ears then it wouldn't really make a difference so i dont see a problem with it. My parents said i wasnt allowed mine done until i was 16 so i did it myself.(silly cow) and hid them behind my hair for ages. I would rather take them somewhere and have them donw safely than them do it behind my back. I dont really agree with it on babies, i think it has to be because they have asked for it but everyone to their own!
Re: Ear piercing for children?
I think once I have my second child which is going to be a girl I would defineatly consider piercing her ears fairly young.Again its all down to personal choice
Re: Ear piercing for children?
i dont like ear piercing on babies or young children, i would worry about infection and about the earing being be to be pulled and ripping the ear, however each to their own
Re: Ear piercing for children?
Personally I wouldn't get them done until they asked for themselfs. I cant understand people that take babys to get them done, the thought of them taggleing up and the clothes make me feel ill, It wouldn't take much for them to pull them out and rip their ears, apart from that they can get infected and that would be awful, I think when they ask for them at whatever age that happends to be would be the right time.
Re: Ear piercing for children?
i think it looks lovely when babies hav their ears pierced but i will wait until shaé abit older coz im scared she will pull them out
