new electric meter

Post by Ellies mummy on Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:01 pm

well i was getting ready to go onmy driving lesson yesterday and waiting for anthonys mum to come down and have ellie for an hour while i was out. then came a knock on the door it was meter plus. they had come to put us a new meter in was well annoyed as he told me to go round and unplug everything and turn all the mains switches off. i got a shock off one of the plugs and had horrible shooting pains in my arm all day. it was awful.

the guy the turns the whole electric off.

so ellie had no tv to watch or music to listen too. anthonys mum couldnt even make a cup of tea the poor woman.

so i goes on my driving lesson and im learning the reverse park at the min. well i did it twice and i was too wide both times then i did it again and hit the curb and did it again and was perfect but the thing that annoyed me was i had done it 3 times last week perfect.

so really didnt have a good driving lesson at all as i was mad with myself.

i got back home to find the blokes had gone and broke one of my candles which anthonys mum bought me and i loved them.

anyway took ellie to the park when i got back and we had a good time which really made me feel better. i took pics so will post them tomorrow.

its not a rant so didnt out it in the ranting room im just abit annoyed thats all.

sorry for boring you all. x

I had a guy come round yesterday to fit a new electric meter for us - the only thing he said to me was 'is it ok to turn all your electric off?' and talked me through the new meter...
Sorry your day wasn't as good as you'd have wanted though, and don't worry about the parking - practice makes perfect!

louise: i know hun i will hopefully do it better on my driving esson next week. its took me ages this manouver and they dont take me long normally. its just so annoying.

the candle doesnt bother me its just that it was a gift and he was so careless. they have been there all the time we have lived here and i havent knocked them off yet and some strange bloke comes in my house for the first time ever and brakes it

Kelly, I'm the same chick, my whole hour's lesson on Sunday was spent with me trying to stop on a hill then restart and go, I just could not do it even though I had loads of times my previous lesson and I was getting so upset and mad with myself so I know how you're feeling. Just at the end of my lesson I did it perfectly but then we had to go home so I couldn't work on it Sad

Susanne - that's the kind we have now, you get a weird little stick thing rather than the cards! Plus the guy put £5 on mine, I think they do it for everyone though Smile
