well after i told him last time he never said much about it and looked at me like i was disgusting and a piece of s***, then he had a fight with kevin who in his words is a "dirty old man for going with a girl of 21" (which i was at the time), we had since fallen out and havent really been the same, never spoken that much or seen much of each other because of the way he is towards the rest of the family aswell (threats etc) he is on drugs but like all addicts denies it at every turn around, i think he forgets we arent 4 anymore. he seen taylor for the first time in almost a year the other week there and smiled at her, gave her a cuddle and said how good she is at walking (my mum was quick to say "no she isnt") so he went quiet again after that, and gave her £10 to get a toy lol

he will always be my dad and i love him so much but hes a right idiot, i just dont see how he cant see what hes doing and why we cant turn to him anymore...flipping heck the water works are on...i get so angry at myself for getting so upset because its his doing and he should fix it but thats all another story lol

oh no elaine sorry i didnt mean to make you cry hun. i think like you say he will always be your dad and you love him to bits but like everyone he has his faults but just a few more than others. anyway i think you did the right thing not telling him then if he was like that when you were pregnant with taylor. i dont see his problem with the age gap either. my best friend is the same she is with an older man and her family dont like it. they cause so much trouble for her. but he is a lovely bloke. i think your dad will never get on with him because of the way he thinks about your OH which is a shame for you and taylor. he should be able to see that your happy and be happy for you but hes your dad and he thinks he doing the best and looking out for you but hes not going about it the right way.

anyway chin up hun and hope it all gets sorted soon. hugs

elaine, this is what i mean, i have seen myself in states so many times thanks to my mother, and her drink fuelled comments (but apparently she drinks just the same as me, denial i think) and there is only so many times before i think you have to draw the line and let them go away and sort themselves out, you cant always be the one to make the effort. sometimes parents think they have the right to act how they like toward you, but they dont and they forget that were adults too.
