P2P becomes Womens World

Hello All Members.

Well its been around 5 weeks since Pregnancy 2 Parenting closed down. Lots of you will have moved on, to different forums, or made your own, or realised there was life away fromt he laptop! It was very sad to watch such a great forum go and has played on my mind ever since. I couldnt take it on at the time, because i was certain i would never have the time to commit to it, with a new baby on the way and two toddlers.

However my eldest recently got accepted for 5 sessions at nursery a week, and elsie with a child minder twice a week. This means even when my baby arrives, i should still have a good amount of time to commit to the forum. After discussing with my husband (he gets a say after all, it takes time away from the family running forums) he agreed he was happy for me to take it up again. I then checked with the people whom hosts it, if there was any way to get it back, and within 3 days Pregnancy 2 Parenting was changed to how it was 2 months before it closed.

The only problems that remained for me, was that i had lost interest in just having it as a mums site only and wanted to remove a lot of things that created the most work, and wether the previous members would even want to come back! I decided it was worth giving it a try as a more wider forum, for women in general, not just those ttc, mums to be, or mothers. Finally i removed the subscriptions group and set all members to be able to private message and add an avatar. The forum will never cost members a penny from now on.

The last thing to do was change the address and give it a name, then let members know. I am sure a lot of you will not be up for using the forum, but you never know. I hope you enjoy its new look, new abilities for those whom werent able to pm or add avatars before, and find it as good as you may have found it when it was pregnancy 2 parenting.

I just wanted to add that I am still here and Max and I are as united as ever in this venture!
Just one more point it will not have features like before which were what took all the time and ultimately led to us being overworked. When running a forum begins to take over your life it loses its pleasure, hence why Max stood down before and then myself.

I am looking forward to being part of this transformed forum and hope to see lots of the old faces as well as some new ones!

hiya debbie, yes p2p was closed down, but has come back as womens world, hope you will enjoy it just as much! I cant believe vienna is 4 months already, look at her! I love her name it makes me think of the pudding yum yum!

shes growing too quick though, can roll right over and climbs out of the bouncer!!

i know i am over the moon though beginning to feel slightly terrified at the prospect of labour and three under the age of 4! Everyone keeps warning me about boys too how much hard work they are!

and by the time labour comes around youll be ready and waiting lol

lol well it should work out quite well, i dont find the newborn stage that difficult its when they get on the move and by the time mason does, summer will be in school and elsie will be in preschool. plenty of time to focus on toddler training

Just thought I'd say hi here. Max boys arent hard work in fact I think they are easier than girls, my niece is such a pain compared to Morgan who is just a cheeky happy chappy. How is the pregnancy going? I've been talking to one of my ex's fiances she's got 4 kids the eldest will be 4 soon and the youngest is 14wks, she says its pretty easy you just have to have faith in yourself.

hiya julie, welcome to womens world! Well this is what i thought, but my family seems to have stereotyped boys and sit there smirking to themselves about how i will have to 'wait and see for myself' i dont believe in labeling kids at all, so trying to ignore them!

I think its just general nerves now it is getting so much closer! How are you all, how is morgan and paige? she will be near on 4 months now herself wont she!

I think each child is different to be honest. Paige is so similar to Morgan yet so different already. They are both great Morgan is really cheeky and growing up so quick. Paige well what can I say she is already a madam keeping me on my toes when it comes to feeding one minute she wants boob then its bottle and vice versa cant win. She's just gone 14weeks cant believe it time has flown by. Have you decided on if your having a home or hospital birth yet?

aw good to hear they are both well!

I have settled on a hospital birth with begging for an epidural with this one, purely because i am so far away from the nearest hospital and i am a total chicken when it comes to pain!

I have a new dog by the way, i know you like dogs! have a look in the pets forum i popped a post in there with a piccy
